I just updated to Chrome version 106.0.5249.62 and Adblock Plus is not working at all. All my filters have been deleted. Both the extension and the filters are updated, but they don't block any ad now. I can't even block elements.
Before updating Chrome, they worked perfectly. What is going on? Did they already kill adblockers? I haven't seen anybody reporting this.
Please help. Thanks.
Edit: I've found a solution. I reinstalled Adblock Plus, then I deactivated all my extensions, Adblock Plus included. Then I restarted Chrome, and activated Adblock Plus only. Then I entered a random page, and after reloading it, it worked. The ads are blocked and the filters have returned, for some reason. I'm still not sure if this has been caused by Chrome or an extension of mine. In any case, I hope this helps.
For example, an audio site I use (iheartradio) utilizes pop ups to play the audio, but adblock is thinking that its an ad and blocking it! Can I set up an 'allow' list to prevent this? thanks!
I use firefox and I have both adblock plus and Ublock origin. Out of nowhere a few days ago hulu started to hit me with ads! Any tips here? I cannot use hulu anymore because of this as I legit don't have the patience.
See title. I’m getting timeouts when I try to update the safari content blocker rules in Adblock on my iPhone. Is anyone else experiencing the same?

As title states, I have a Samsung TV and have hit my limit on Ads with Youtube, there is no way to block ads on Samsung / Youtube and I can't take it anymore.
Is there a Smart TV that allows me to block YouTube Ads directly on the Smart TV?
(p.s. I will not pay for YT Premium, and literally no solution works like pi-hole, dns blocking, there is literally zero solutions for Samsung TV owners, I have searched for 2 years now.)
I’ve got premium AdGuard as well as the blocklist you get rid of most of the ads on iFunny but no matter what I do, not matter what shit I add to the blocklist or what html I’m hosting my things through, ads still pop up and annoy me to no end. If anyone can suggest anything else that may help me, I would greatly appreciate it
I know, I'm lazy but I want to decide which one is a better privacy browser on YouTube website Brave vs FireFox. (or FireFox Focus?). Both look kind of the same privacy browsers.

Stands for facebook adblock, I use this myself for a long time and wanted to help out others.
I don't have a Chrome dev account, you're more than welcome to publish this for chrome...
the name is intentionally vague because I want this to be somewhat on the down low.

I'm so sick of how every time there's a hiccup on YouTube, Chrome pops up with a blurb saying, "Experiencing interruptions? Find out why" (translation: "BLAME YOUR ISP, EVEN IF IT ACTUALLY IS OUR FAULT"), that does not go away until I click on it. So I'm wondering if there's some sort of adblock or other method for preventing those from popping up?
Hey.
My adblocker is not blocking twitch anymore. Iv'e tried uBlock Origin and ad guard, neither of them works.
Anyone else with same issues? or have any other adblockers that works?
my old android phone has started to crap and i need a new phone and willing to get the new iphone 14 or 13 for a good price, but lack of youtube vanced makes me anxious. Is there a adblocker for youtube on ios? my parents and siblings use ios and i feel like i am losing out on the simplicity, i dont do anything special on a phone. Just need adless youtube, whatsapp, good camera and i am set.
For context - "free" adblockers either rely on donations (which people generally do not do) or share user data (in order to make a monetary profit).
If you knew that your data was not going to be shared with 3rd parties, would you be willing to pay for this type of service?
If you do pay for an ad blocker, what do you like about that specific service?
If not - why (or what other benefits would you need to have)?
Hello

So, on YT now when I have the default adblock on GX yt says I have no internet. I guess they defeated that. Also used like 6 different adblocks, incl. uBlock/Origin and adguard. no idea whats going on but I dont like it.
Is there an Adblock that works In the YouTube app that I don’t have to play for or should I just stick with adlock Im currently poor so I would rather it be free
Does anyone have any recommendations for a safe Adblock thats free I currently can’t really pay for one and I’m getting tired at how YouTube is treating its users with how many add we are getting?
Adblock now charge. Payment can either be paid as a one off, monthly or yearly. It doesn't seem to work unless you pay them.
Can someone recommend an ad free YouTube APK for Android where I can login into my YouTube account. Not like NewPipe
Thanks
I'm sorry I don't know much about technology and I don't want to download something that will mess up my phone. I'm tired of ads. Thanks.
Is there any benefit to combining multiple adblocks? So if one of them happens to miss an ad the other one gets rid of it? or do they conflict with each other?
It would be lovely if I never have to get interrupted by another youtube ad again. I have a Vizio M65-E0 tv if that helps. Are there any firmware updates I can run that is meant for this?
I am on an iPhone. I can’t take the ads on my YouTube app anymore. So I download adblocker and do as it tells me. Yet even with that on it seems like I would have to click share on every single YouTube video and pull it up on Ad blocker.
Am I dumb? I assumed if I downloaded/ enabled it on my safari it would auto block the ads. And instead of watching YouTube through the app I would just begin to watch it through my safari to be ad free. Which is not the case.
I also downloaded Firefox and went to add an add blocker to that until it told me you can’t get it on iOS.
Am I missing something simple? To block the ads as it stands now I have to open YouTube in safari, start a video, hit the share button , select block ads with AdGuard and then it takes me to a seperate page for that single video. Are y’all doing that for every single video?
I’m super dumb in this field. If anybody could tell me what browser and which ad blocker to download it would be much appreciated.
Anyone have a solution to block ads on paramount+? Ghostery worked until a couple of days ago. I understand you can pay an extra 5$ a month but you still get some ads and I hate paying for this subpar service in the first place.
If you search for Spotify ad free apk or premium mod unlock you can find whole bunch of them, but why there's no Youtube build-in adblock like Spotify? I'm not talking about Youtube vance that kind of apps, like... it's just like normal Youtube app but no ads. my thought process like
Hi! Im trying to figure out how to install adblock to block youtube ads for my mothers android tablet, not exactly sure what android tablet she has atm. But if theres a way to block ads on youtube for a tablet, I would appreciate the help!
I've found that adblock does not block all ads on streaming sites like those listed on NFLbite.com and associated websites. The biggest nuisance is that it allows the website to open a new tab with a sketchy website/advertisement that I have to close out of. Does anybody know of a way to prevent this?
For context recently I’ve been using nextdns but just recently it stopped working for twitch mobile app, and have gotten ads once again. I tried using Adguard both the safari extension app along with its built in dns server thing, and it’s own vpn on its own app. And Still I get ads. Both on twitch mobile app on my iPhone and through safari. Super annoying. Anyone have any good ideas or any suggestions for an alternative or an actual good adblocker to block twitch mobile ads on my phone?
Thanks.
Considering an ad blocker but not sure just how effective it would be and wether it would be useful across a selection of apps such as Google news etc..
Does anyone know a way to block twitch ads on iOS ? i have a lot of ads recently it’s very frustrating
Spark mail app [Readdle]delays too grand when checking and refreshing inbox or opening a mail and loading all content, when using Luna VPN Adblocker 😣
I want to get ads blocked in chrome and the youtube app, and I don’t want to use some other browser like Firefox or Brave. I tried the private DNS address thing, but it won’t connect on my university’s wifi. I tried the Luna adblock VPN, but it doesn’t seem to work on Android (it works perfectly on my iPhone though.) I also tried the Adguard VPN, but that only gives you like 3gb of data a month.
Anyone know of any solution to this? Or at least how to get the private DNS address to connect to the university wifi? I also don’t really care if the thing steals my data like Luna is accused of doing all the time as long as it does the job and doesn’t cost any money.
Hblock is a system-wide adblock. I was wondering how it would work to stop ads and trackers. When I’m in a browser and go watch YouTube for example, the ads are only blocked because of my ublock origin extension. When I turn it off though, the ads come back. I went to the hblock website and it said I was using it(???). How does this work? The hblock blocklist shows it’s blocking a lot of domains (at the very least, more than 1000), including easylist; easyprivacy, etc.
Yet, it doesn’t block browser ads? I don’t understand.
If anyone needs this info, I’m running a Linux OS
