An interesting set up. having troubles connecting.

So my computer set up is like this.

I got my main PC for gaming, the either-net cable is hooked from the back of the PC to an old Macbook pro that then gets wifi from the landlord upstairs. Runs like a dream. (Note: VPN is on PC, not on Mac right now)

Now last night, I managed to download 3 ad blockers for my browsers. Works great on the PC and the VPN works along side it. (Adblock, adblock plus, Ublock)

Now my macbook won't open any window that isn't Google because the ad blocks on the PC are on the same browsers I use on my mac. I can't turn on the VPN on my Mac because that cuts off internet to my PC.

The over all problem, how do I get VPN to work on my Macbook and send internet to my PC at the same time?

Or, how do I get adblock to work and send me to websites on an old laptap?

Who uses adguard's adblocking products?

Adguard is a russian piece of software. What's more one would need to know to stop using it?
By buying their software people are financing international terrorists (that's a fact!). I wouldn't be surprised if any information collected by adguard is immediately transferred to the FSB, KGB, or whatever the name for it.

Luna stopped working today :(

As a person who permanently has ad blockers on because I can’t stand ads, I was very upset when I saw that YouTube had an update recently that stopped Luna from working. I really hope Luna fixes this, I can’t even enjoy YouTube with ads

What is a good phone-wide adblocker for Samsung?

I was looking on the internet, yet I can't find any android adblockers that block out ads from every app. I can find specific adblockers for chrome, but nothing that can block ads from mobile games and YouTube. I was hoping that this sub would have some recommendations, so what have you guys found that works for Android?

I want to allow specific advert types, is there any way to do such a thing?

For more context. While I browse YouTube I feel guilty that Google/creators I support dont receive any revenue from me while I use adblock however I'm not willing to view video ads / midrolls. I am however fine with banner ads and those video ad reccomendations. Is ther any such way to allow the types of ads I'm okay with versus the ones I dislike?

Adblock slows YouTube, but only on my newer computer

I've seen other people complain about Adblock causing a delay in loading YouTube videos, but I've never had that problem on my seven-year-old MacBook. I do have it now on my brand new MacBook. In both cases the browser is Safari, and my new computer has no other extensions on it, so I have no idea what the discrepancy is.

Statistics on the most prevalent digital ad service URLs to block?

I'm wanting to block the biggest digital advertiser offender's URLs using my ISP's Parental Controls feature. I'm well aware of ad blocker software out there, but would prefer not to install on my machine. I want to block as much traffic as I can through my ISP first.

Is anyone aware of published statistics on the most prevalent digital ad service URLs? The ones that will get me the most milage out of my block effort?

Adblock doesn't work on Dailymotion

Dailymotion will detect the Adblock... After updating the filters I won't be presented with a popup anymore, however, the site will pause the video as soon as I click "play". Any workarounds this?

adblocker for a specific type help

im not quite sure how to describe this ad but occasionally on a site im using to watch anime i will click to un pause and it will load an ad in a new tab i wouldn't be looking to fix this if the only ads from it were for porn games i use this site to watch anime with my 9 year old cousin i don't know when these ads will appear and there's no trace they just happen she wants to watch anime with me but this is the only site i can get anime we haven't already see, the entire tab turns into an invisible ad

Blocking specific images on Etsy

Currently trying to block specific images from showing up on Etsy. Etsy's search and recommended functions are trash and show products that are often unrelated to whatever you're searching for or may be relevant, but aren't wanted for whatever reason.

When I click "block element" from Adblock Plus or uBlock Origin, it does not work (ABP does nothing, uBO blocks the image while the page is loaded but upon refresh, it's back). Internal Etsy settings do not work (only listings tagged as explicit are caught, but the images I'm wanting blocked aren't considered nsfw). I can't report the listings either, because clicking on them would only reinforce Etsy to show me similar unwanted listings.

I don't want to block all images or a section of images (ex. "Recommended for you," "Similar to this collection," etc.), I just want to block specific images. Is there any way that I can do this? Is there an extension I can get that will help? Using Firefox.
