My ad block stopped working
Twitch channel appearing offline when using Adblock
Hi,
I'm having a bug with Twitch. When I start watching a Twitch live, after 15/20 seconds the channel seems to go offline and I have to refresh the page to keep watching.
Any fix?

AdBlock mysteriously working on Apple?
I had to disable my Adblock for YouTube back in October when they did the ban, but now on my MacBook Pro running Catalina it's not showing ads at all in Chrome, but it still does constantly on my Chromebook. As far as I can tell it's still disabled on YouTube on my Mac, so I have not idea how it's stopping them, but hallelujah while it works. Anybody have any idea what's going on?

Evil YouTube Bastards!
So YouTube finally caught up with my blocking of their ads and forced AdBlock Plus to be disabled. AdBlock for YouTube and uBlock Origin are still doing a great job though!
But here's the kicker, once I engage YouTube my fan starts whirling like crazy and my battery life drops to crap. Even if I let the browser sit at a YouTube page without playing any video, and it still whirls away at max speed. Once I kill the YouTube tab - the fan starts to quiet down.
If I didn't know any better, I would say that YouTube is intentionally being malicious and trying to burn up the CPU. Question is, is YouTube / Google really that evil? -- Funny answers only!

Question about privacy/security
Hi I use Chrome and Chrome Canary on my Macbook. Chrome Canary is only for watching YouTube and I installed the Fadblock extension which works ok however I want to clarify during installation Fadblock requires access to Chrome Canary so I guess can spy on my Canary activity which is ok but is there any chance it can have access to regular Chrome or other resources on my MacBook? Youtube Have Again block AdBlock
Android Private DNS slowing down WiFi
My home internet has been unusable for couple of weeks now on my Android phone because how slow it is. But when I stopped using the private DNS ( dns.adguard.com ) it starts to work fine.
But it works fine with the private DNS while I'm at work.
Anyone know what's the issue?

Sick of Adblock Plus adverts.
Over the last few weeks Adblock Plus has been randomly opening new tabs while I've been browsing or watching YT. Last night was the final straw as I was watching YT (Premium) and all of a sudden a new tab opens with an advert for Adblock Plus (oh the irony). Been using Adblock for a long time but now looking for alternatives. So what would people recommend?

YouTube won't let me use Adblock now
Hi all. I've gained a lot of value from this sub so thanks. I've been using Adblock for years but YouTube is now telling me that I can't watch vids if I'm using an Adblock. I didn't know their ads were sometimes 2 mins long. what a terrible user experience! Anyway, I'm using Safari with paid Adblock. I have no loyalty to them if they can't work. My question is.... will Ublock still allow me to watch YouTube without ads or will the experience be the same? thanks!!!

Need help verifying this, but anybody who is on Chrome, turn off all ad block exts except for Ublock Origin and test it out on Twitch and see if you guys get any ads.
I got ads on Edge/Firefox except for Chrome, so I was just wondering if people are getting ads on Chrome.
EDIT: No ads on Chrome+Ublock when I cruised through multiple channels.

So I use animepahe.com to watch anime and there are a lot of ads and pop ups and redirects , i essentially used a vpn and all went smoothly, but i recently bought a laptop and live in hostel which in turns not let me watch anything cuz of very low speeds , all in all the internet is fucked up when I use VPN on my laptop, i wonder why it works on phone just fine , so i need a free ad block option so that I don't have to use VPN to watch anime pls recommend me some free ad blocks , i really appreciate it.

Adblockplus trying to trick users?
Just wondering what you think of this and if you've seen it before. A few months back an elderly relative of mine subscribed to adblockplus premium without knowing how.
Today I saw how it happened - after they clicked Paypal when checking-out on an unrelated website, at that exact moment a "adblockplus has been updated" tab opened. The tab started out scrolled right to the bottom where it had the option to checkout and had paypal selected as payment option.
I think that's a little predatory, am I just overreacting? I did manage to get them to refund the original one.

Tip for users who want to block Twitch ads
Probably most people here know about this, but is always good to let people know. You can block Twitch ads by using a VPN connected in Poland. It may sound pricey, but there are pretty good VPN providers out there that are very cheap. I use Mullvad for example. It’s 5$ a month and you can also buy it yearly. It works really well. I’m sure there are a lot of options out there tho, so look for the one you like.

YouTube ads have returned on iPad - how do I get rid of them again?
I have three devices I tend to watch YouTube on: an iPad, a Samsung phone, and a laptop. I use uBlock Origin on the latter two, and as far as I’m aware they’re still working. Since I can’t use uBO on iPad, I’ve been using AdBlock on Safari, which usually works, but just today the ads have returned on iPad. Any suggestions?

A new type of Ad?
Hi there everybody, I am kind of troubled by something I've been seeing on my Google searches, now this might not be the absolute best place for this, but this place probably has a lot of people with knowledge and opinions on ads, in the video I posted the first two searches are not made by me, I don't think I even know what some of those are, I don't want a grill or own a Nintendo console for that amiibo, and I've never even thought about buying an amiibo for anybody.
At first, I thought my account may have been compromised or somebody in my family might have my account in the device, but the pattern is way different for that to be the case, I don't see anything about those searches in my security panel, and if people have ever been to their Google security panel, that place shows everything, and I really mean EVERYTHING, you can practically see the times when you sneezed near a Google connected device. And another thing is that the searches always show up in pairs and on top of the list and like in the video, when deleting the top search another one pop's up in its place and not like when I deleted the lower ones that I've searched for.
A weird thing is that some of the searches look like listings for items in sites like Temu or Wish and some of them look like normal searches, it can't be based on cookies, right? I've never even searched for those items, or clicked on links with those items, sure I may have once or twice searched up for new mouse, but a grill? What even is a grill backautomat? Is that a typo?

Anyone having buffer problems with twitch?
Seems to be adblock related. I can open a stream and watch for 30 seconds or so before it endlessly buffers and needs a restart.
Anyone else having the same problem, or recommendations for a working adblock for twitch? Was using "Twitch™ Adblock Plus" the past few months until now.

Can I edit the ABP filters list?
I feel like most of it I want to block, so I'd prefer to keep it on. But it has an anti-adblock 'whitelist' entry that I'd like to block or remove. Tried adding the address to my custom filters and it doesn't seem to knock it out. It's overridden by the ABP list.

Adblock Plus Premium not able to tell between legit emails and ads. how to fix?

My mother is a senior who loathes ads and she just bought Ad Block Plus Premium to get rid of them. After paying the $20 per year subscription this afternoon, and enabling the extension, it now shows the ad range highlights over not just the ads themselves (top email bar and side bar) but also over the legit emails we actually want. My question is, did we make it worse by buying Premium when we already had Plus? Because now we must go to the tray, and click each area we dont want the ad in, and it does remove it by individual element, but for some reason leaves the annoying red highlights. The only way to stop those red highlights from appearing is to disable adblock on the page, which is counterintuitive: As you can see, the disabling of the adblock gets rid of the red highlights but the ads remain... including further down the page they appear every 15 emails. What solution would work best here to eliminate the ads from this email?

YouTube background play randomly stopping.
I use Safari with Ad/Sponsor block extensions installed to listen to podcasts off YouTube on my iPhone while at work. The only problem is it will randomly stop playing the audio even though it’s still playing on the app, so I have to open Safari and skip back 10 or so seconds before locking my phone again. It happens constantly and gets pretty annoying. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a workaround for this? Is there a better app to use for background YouTube play that also has Ad/Sponsor block?

Help for my new job
Working in a new company where I have to find ads in the wild, so screenshots of campaigns my company uploads on google ads. However, its near impossible to find especially when this ad im trying to find has consistently low impressions. I need an AdBlocker for iPhone
Im getting fed up of dealing with Luna adblocker. Whenever it has its moments where its not blocking youtube ads, the video title, like, comment section and channel are all gone and I have to disable the VPN to see them. How do I embed licensed YouTube videos onto a html page?
When I embed a YouTube video in an iframe, the video doesn't play. I get a "video unavailable. Watch on youtube" error message. ONLY if the YouTube video is licensed.
For example, pretty much anything uploaded by VEVO.
Non licensed videos will embed fine.
Well I noticed 2 things. If you ever heard of twitch tv and nightbot tv, nightbot has a song request feature where users can submit YouTube links and the link will be embedded on the night bot page and play whether the video is licensed or not.
I also noticed w3schools has a page about YouTube embeds. If I use their sandbox IDE and try to embed a licensed YouTube video, it plays fine.
So why is it that w3schools and nightbot tv and im sure a million other websites embed licensed YouTube videos without issues but when I copy the same exact code into a html document and view it in Chrome, I get a video playback error?

Block YouTube ads on Xbox
My YouTube premium trial ended today and now I have to watch ads again. I didn't mind at first but then ads started appearing every few minutes. Fuck you Google.
I've done some research on how to block them but the only thing I found was Pi-Hole, which doesn't work with YouTube because YouTube serves ads differently; and streaming a laptop/phone to the TV instead, which means I don't get to use my Xbox controller I'm comfortable using.
On my phone I use NewPipe, which blocks ads, allows background play, and downloading of videos directly onto the device as MP4s. However I haven't been able to find any of these for Xbox. Maybe they can be sideloaded in developer mode?
I know there's going to be at least one idiot who says it's not possible, if you are that idiot just don't comment.
I'll appreciate help. I know it takes away from the content creators but the frequency of the ads is unreasonable. It's almost like a punishment for not renewing Premium after the trial.

Do I need to input my credit card information of first 6 numbers and last 4 number to search the charges on their website?
I'm very frustrated here.
I was charged for 2 months and I want to cancel and get a refund without giving them my credit card information online. I don't remember ever creating account and I went through "forgot password" trying 2 email addresses but I'm not getting any replies meaning my email addresses are not registered. At this point, it's left me with no other option but providing them with my credit card(first 6 digits and last 4 digits )and transaction information to search the charges online. I've already went through 2 scammers while trying to avoid this part along the way. Can anyone check if this is the legit way to provide them my creditcard information so they can search and get me the refund please?
Or does anyone know they actually have customer service number?
I'm even getting warning email that it can likely be a scam when I get a response from Adblock.
Maybe last thing I can do is closed my debit card?

Did YouTube Update its Ad Delivery Algorithms, again?
Hey folks, today Adblocker Plus in Safari has magically stopped working on YouTube, after literally years of blocked ads on YouTube.
Tried rebooting, tried uninstalling and installing again the Adblock Plus from the App Store, re-applying again in Safari, clearing cache, signing out in YouTube, Incognito window, but now anything I do - YouTube loads the brainless ads.
Same happened on Windows... Has anyone else experienced the AdBlocking in YouTube to stop working recently as well, or it is just my setup?

How to unblock certain ads?
Okay, this may seem like a weird request but i play a game (tetris.com) and the game has a crapload of ads so like all of you i use an adblock.
The actual gameplay of tetris.com only fills up the middle of the screen with the sides being filled with sidebar ads that my adblock didn't block for some reason and i've been playing with them there for about 3-4 years now. Now all of a sudden my adblock decides to block them and it's very distracting since i'm so used to them filling my peripheral vision.
Is there any way to only unblock those specific ads?

Adblocks for mobile games
I tried using ADGUARD on their site and it worked for 1 day and then stopped i tried reconnecting the device but still didn't work, ive changed my DNS manually a few times but it still isn't working.
Im on Android. And i am mainly wanting an adblock for a game i play regularly, its a good game but very ad heavy. I thought the game might somehow block the blocker but it worked for a whole day and then i got it to work briefly yesterday. I tried using the ADGUARD app but it didn't work either

Anyone else find blocking all ads to be lifechanging?
I don't watch TV, long been using adblockers for my web browser, and have aggressively adopted adblockers for youtube mobile and desktop.
Am I the only one that feels this is a massive improvement on one's life? I listen to a lot of youtube throughout the day and don't have to be bombarded with nonsense. When I started blocking there were 2 15 second ads before every single video, and often they were the same ones repeated over and over again. I don't have to listen to drivel about products I don't need or movements that don't concern me. I'd love to know how many days worth of time I've saved by doing 15 mins of work installing various programs to block all the ads.
