I have a simple ad blocker VPN (Lockdown) that I use on my iPhone. I mostly use it to reduce ads on simple apps. However, I'm wondering if its possible to block specific domains that the YouTube App uses to grab those annoying ads you get every time you open a video. Where can I go to get that list of Domains to block? I would be grateful to anyone who has a better method of YouTube App ad blocking. Thanks
Out of the blue it just started working again, I believe the Server address and address and maybe? The account number too? Idk it just started blocking YouTube ads on my iPhone and I’m fucking happy

I have NextDNS and luckily the sites don't load... but is it possible somehow to block them from opening in the first place? I have also 1Blocker but doesn't seem to handle such situations.

The #shorts player is trash on desktop, it auto loops with no way to disable, no progress bar, dumb aspect ratio, scrolling can be screwy, and no way to adjust the volume other than mute it.
Today I decided that I've had enough of YT trying to dumb down their platform for the TikTok / ADHD generation and the best way to make sure I'm not supporting this sort of low effort content is to ensure that I avoid most of it entirely.
Posting this here for anyone who wants it, not for a discussion on the merits of the #shorts short-form video format.
NB. Selector works based off of the small icon that gets added to the corner of shorts thumbnails. May work on other ad blockers but only tested on UBO.

The extension was updated yesterday and chrome now asks if the extension can have complete access to amazon.uk website. Curios about the change I tried looking up the changes but the GitHub page ( https://github.com/saucettv/VideoAdBlockForTwitch) has been removed since yesterday (Google webcache shows a version from yesterday) and the extension description still only states it needs access to twitch.com address only.
Just don't want this change to have any effect on me browsing amazon now (Injecting referral links and what not could be possible)

Luna used to work perfectly (both the app and VPN variants) but within the past few weeks, I’ve run into a couple unsolvable issues:
it doesn’t block ads
YouTube “covers” up the comments
Have you guys found any fixes? I’ve tried downloading and redownloading and using the VPN rather than the app to no luck.

If you’re like me, Luna vpn hasn’t been working for the last few weeks. I guess YouTube finally found a way to crack down. I just realized something I hadn’t tried yet and it seems to work.
Try disconnecting from your Wi-Fi with the vpn on. Open YouTube and see if you get ads. That seems to have fixed the problem. The downside is of course without unlimited data, you’re SOL until Luna can come up with a fix.
I’ve used Purify, Adblock Plus, Wipr, and Adblock, tried all the premium versions, but still can’t get around the needing to refresh prior to watching videos on YouTube on safari. Has anyone else had this issue? Any way to fix it?

Hello. Does anyone acknowledge an adblocker app for iPhone that I can use to block all types ofads without being detected by captchas? Do y’all know those links that make you go through a series of ads with different captchas on multiple pages before reaching your download link? That’s the main reason why I’m asking for this type of ad blocker. I wanna block those annoying ads but I need those captchas to still show up. If this is NOT possible for iPhone does anyone know something like this for Windows 10? Thanks so much.
I use ublock origin and have also tried adblock plus. I've noticed on Firefox, if I either leave my computer on with Firefox open overnight, or even put it to sleep with Firefox still open, then adblock stops working and it doesn't matter which of the two I'm using at the moment. The weird part is this only happens on my media computer connected to the TV, but not to my laptop, even though I have the same browser and extensions on both.

Let's talk about setting them up.
First, download the listed browser; set it up and tweak with the settings how you want it to be once installed. Second, the adblockers: Download and activate them inside the app itself then in the browser next.
(Yes, they work with YouTube. Although I can't say that it works for all devices—I can say for sure that it blocks YouTube advertisements on my phone; OPPO A83.)
Note.— (Must read.)
"Crystal" and "ABP" in tandem can block YouTube ads (tested). However, I still recommend having the other two, which is "AdGuard" and "Disconnect." They might add more power. Also, YouTube videos might take 5–10 seconds before they can play. (I guess it's because of the ad-block in process. But man, it blocks!)

(All the blockers doesn't need to be manually activated everytime. Once they're activated in the (1) "app" and the (2) "browser," then it won't be cut short unless the opposite is done.)

I will be switching to another browser since this one eats my RAM a lot, so I just wanted to share the trick.
I'm not talking about stuff like Zergnet or Taboola which gets culled from my screen with adblock anyways, but mildly more "legit" sites (and I only say legit in the sense that google news and the like treat them like proper results) along the lines of Screenrant, We Got this Covered, etc. I've found the Filmclickbait twitter account was a good starting list but sifting through their tweets doesn't really get me a clean easy list.

I've been using uBlock Origin and i don't care about cookies for a long time and moved to Adblock Plus cause it has both the adblocking and cookies built-in. So, is using uBlock Origin with i don't care about cookies better or is Adblock Plus good enough?

I was just wondering if there's any adblock for android that will block ads on the default youtube app? Tried YouTube Vanced but the layout/ui does not work very well with my phone (galaxy fold 3), the layout/ui on the default app works well though. Prefably no root needed also.
Had a 3-month free trail for premium and I got attached to the uninterrupted music, and when I finally cancelled after two extra months of paying it because unbearable (3 or 4 ads after just 2 songs!! I swear it wasn’t like this before!!). Talked to my brother and he recommended using an adblocker, but I haven’t been able to find one here for Spotify? It's been working fine for several years now - apart fron one brief period last year when ads started to appear again. It was fixed within a few days.
