Can we design an ad blocker that simulates clicking ad in addition to blocking them?

Websites reject ad blockers because they lose ad revenue.

If an ad blocker virtually click on some ads -- but don't display them, open the target page in a headless browser as a background process for a while and then close it, will websites still reject this ad blocker?
