Im New to all of this - can i get an adblocker/dns/vpn for safari and and other apps on ipad and iphone?

Im so sorry if this is a simple stupid question, i am truly ignorant to this.

i want to stop popups on safari on my ipad. and firefox. and youtube. i mentioned ads in an article and someone on reddit said to add an adblock dns to my wifi network in settings and it did absolutely nothing. is it a real thing?
