Many argue that blocking YouTube ads is unethical for content creators, with some even labeling it as piracy.
Aren’t online ads meant for engagement? Unlike television, online advertising traditionally depends on interaction.
If that’s the case, watching YouTube ads becomes entirely pointless if there’s no intention of clicking.
The non-interactive aspect is also futile, as the creator wouldn’t incur any losses if it’s solely about sales of the advertised products.
Am I missing something, or are some YouTubers assuming that Adblock users would otherwise engage with ads by clicking on them?
