r/AdblockP is adding moderators

Hello everyone!

We are very excited to be opening our Moderator applications for /r/AdblockP. If you are interested, please read the post in full before applying.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a few people to join our moderation team. Some positives for the applications include:

  • Ability to use/learn filters.
  • Experience and understanding of Adblock as a product, service and brand.
  • Friendliness, patience, and enthusiasm!
  • The ability to commit several hours a week to moderating the subreddit.

Some things that may strengthen applications though they are not all we consider:

  • Experience moderating on other subreddits.
  • Experience with moderating community servers.
  • Experience interacting with other users on this subreddit.

Application Form

There are 6 questions on the application form. The first 3 are to get information regarding who you are and what moderation experience you have. The final 3 questions are moderation. We don't expect an essay, but include a short paragraph detailing your response. Assume you are doing this on /r/AdblockP unless otherwise stated. Take your time with answering these questions--the order in which you get your application in will have no effect on how we analyze applicants.

  1. Account name
  2. Account age
  3. Time spent on /r/Adblock
  4. What would you add/bring to the subreddit?
  5. If someone is spamming a lot, what would you do?
  6. Do you know that if you abuse your powers, you will get demoted?

Closing Date

The form will be open for one week. After applications close, we will review them fully and contact those who qualify. The moderation team will have full access to the responses, and all team members will review them together. The information in these applications will not be viewed outside of the subreddit team.
