- Install uBlock Origin (on Mozilla Firefox and all Mozilla Firefox derivatives, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, Thorium, etc.) or uBlock Origin Lite (on Google Chrome and all other Google Chrome derivatives).
- Turn off and/or uninstall any other ad blocker you might have on your browser (such as Brave Shields) to prevent conflicts.
- Exclude the youtube.com domain on either uBlock Origin or uBlock Origin Lite, depending on which one you have installed.
- Install one and only one of Improve YouTube, Control Panel for YouTube, or GoodTube. All three extensions work fine on all major browsers. Just pick one.
- Configure the just-installed extension's settings to your liking. Most importantly, ensure that ad blocking is turned on.
