It's been a few weeks the amount of ads in youtube has increased absurdly. For browsers the adblocks work fine, but for smart tv and playstation there's no way out...Pi-hole doesn't block them.
A double ad is shown before every video, and other ads in the middle. If you avoid the first ad, another shows about 1 minute in the video.
I started using the following strategy simply to avoid even seeing the 5 second skip:
-click to play the video -ad starts -immediately click "back" button -repeat until the video starts with no ads
I know it's more work than simply waiting the 5 sec to skip, but it's a matter of principles, deflecting those messages attempting to infiltrate my mind all the time against my will.
Anyway the first day it only took 2 rounds of the process above and the video started to play. The second day it took 4 rounds. Then 6, 8, 10... And it kept increasing until now it takes over 10 rounds to get the video to play. It is now impracticable and completely annoying.
Even accepting the first double ad, the video is interrupted to show other ads later.
For the love of god anyone knows an effective way to block the ads in smart tvs and similar equipments? Or a way to get pi-hole to block them.
