Is it okay to use Brave Shields AND Adguard at the same time?

TLDR: Should I use both of time at the same time or should I just stick to one since they might clash? I use Brave which has its built-in adblocker. I'm guessing it uses the same default blocklists which Ublock Origin uses. I also use Adguard (the mobile and desktop apps), which has DNS filtering as well as cosmetic filtering and has a lot of blocklists available. Why not just stick to Brave Shields?
