Trying to Build the Lightest Ad Blocker Chrome Extension

Hi everyone,

I’m currently learning and experimenting with building Chrome extensions, and this is one of my first projects.

The main goal is simple: create an ad blocker that is as lightweight as possible — no heavy background scripts, no unnecessary features, just fast and clean browsing.

I’m also testing a small English support feature to help users improve their English while browsing websites.

This project is still a work in progress, and I’m building it mainly to learn and explore how far I can optimize performance in a browser extension.
