How come no one's ever heard of Ad Block Ninja?

I was on one of those sites, and I think I got an ad for it and got tricked into installing it. IT WORKS VERY WELL, but I'm trying to figure out if it's malicious in some way. It blocks ads everywhere including youtube and even removes empty boxes and divs when doing so. Has anyone used this thing?
